3 Label Trends Here To Stay
…And how are you handling these trends?
Half way through 2017, it’s clear there are 3 trends that are in it for the long haul. We’ve experienced these trends with many of our customers, and hopefully we’ll give you some ideas how to handle these trends relative to your organization.
Multi-National Products
More manufacturers are finding new markets for their products. As a result, the product labels require diversified languages and more copy for regulations. Graphic Designers and Legal Departments are pressing for more space, and are turning to booklet labels to help solve many of these issues.
Personalize / Regionalize / Millennialize
Consumers are pressing product development to make products specifically for “me”, or “really really” close to being for me. We are seeing more single line products diversifying into products that create a personal connection. Whether its a “state branded” food, or an outdoor power tool specifically for the Midwest, or a smoothie drink designed for the 20 something, personalization is here to stay.
Point of Sale Appeal
With the advances of major online retailers, consumer product companies are making a heavy push to grab customers when they are actually in stores. Marketing departments are pushing concepts so their products stand out more than ever. Unique varnishes, multi layered finished, cold foils, and regional themes of products are just some ideas. Marketers are putting a heavy emphasis on making even more of an effort for their product to stop someone in the aisles.
