Inovar’s Innovation Lab in Action

The team at Inovar Packaging Group is excited to announce that we’ve recently completed the installation of our Innovation Lab at our headquarters in Dallas, TX! As our many customers can attest, we are at the cutting edge of label and flexible packaging technology when it comes to quality, materials, equipment, and capabilities; we want to make sure our partners are aware that we are also industry leaders when it comes to creativity, innovation, and ideas for labels and packaging. Our new Innovation Lab is just the latest of our many initiatives to provide unique solutions to our customers in diverse and competitive industries.

The Innovation Lab will enable our current and future customers to elevate their brands through unique prototyping opportunities and can provide them with a chance to see their label and packaging in new ways without the commitment and cost associated with a complete order and print run. Our state-of-the-art equipment in this lab has nearly the same extensive capabilities for print found throughout our organization. Nearly anything we can print in our actual print environment can be replicated here, including pressure sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, and a great deal of our embellishments.

Some of the capabilities of our Innovation Lab include:

• High resolution print
• High speed print, enabling small test runs
• Use of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, & White ink
• Spot Gloss UV ink (clear) for tactile varnishes
• Print on virtually any stock we have in-house, or order special stocks for testing
• Application of virtually any in-house lamination
• Application of foil elements

Oftentimes our customers come to us after the ideation phase of their label design is complete. While using a third party designer or internally designing your label can be a productive way to work up a simple label with just text and graphics on a basic material, we often find ourselves in a position to suggest improvements either for the sake of aesthetic appeal or to assist in application efficacy or efficiency. When we are able to work with our partners from the ground up when it comes to their label and packaging design, we find both brand management and product development teams we partner with are thrilled by the design features and economics of what we can build together. Our Innovation Lab is the space we’ve created to facilitate that partnership.

In addition to the amazing benefits our Innovation Lab provides to our customers, it also is a place where our internal teams can perform R&D even more efficiently. We are always looking to source new, innovative, and more sustainable label and packaging materials that we can then offer our customers.
