Meet the Team: Julio Salas – Customer Service Representative, Dallas, TX

Julio Salas is a Customer Service Representative at Inovar Packaging Group’s Dallas, Texas facility and has been with the company for just over a year. Even in that short time, he has quickly immersed himself in the label world, gaining hands-on experience and building strong connections across the team.

What Julio enjoys most about the packaging and label industry is being part of the full process. Starting with little knowledge of labels, he now finds it rewarding to help bring customer ideas to life and see them go from a concept on a screen to a finished product in the real world. He even keeps an eye out for labels Inovar has produced when he’s out and about.

One of his most memorable experiences has been working with a large health and wellness brand. Their projects stand out for their bold, creative designs, especially in the pre-workout category, making them exciting to be part of from start to finish.

Julio describes Inovar’s culture as supportive and team-oriented. He values the way employees come together, whether it’s through monthly events across shifts or supporting coworkers during difficult times. For him, it’s clear that the company is built on more than just work, it’s about people looking out for one another.

His approach to problem-solving is resourceful and collaborative. He first works through challenges independently, then reaches out to the right team members depending on the situation to ensure customers receive quick and accurate answers. One area that has challenged and helped him grow is setting up estimates when sales support is not immediately available. This has pushed him to think critically, improve accuracy, and learn from feedback with each project.

Julio’s first job was working as a tool walker for a concrete company in high school. The experience taught him not to shy away from hard work and helped him develop a strong work ethic early on.

If he could switch jobs for a day, Julio would choose to run a Mark Andy flexo press. He’s fascinated by the machines and would love to experience the production process from that perspective.

A fun fact about Julio is that he streams video games and once built a following during the work-from-home era. He also holds the title of having one of the largest Fortnite skin collections in Texas.

On his days off, Julio enjoys spending time with his family, whether it’s attending his kids’ events, going to church, or relaxing at home. When he gets free time, he enjoys gaming, reading, and taking care of his plants. If he could have dinner with any historical figure, he would choose Tutankhamun to learn about life in ancient Egypt and experience what a royal meal might have been like.
