Meet the Team: Kristin Whatcott – Corporate Controller at Inovar Packaging Group

Kristin Whatcott is the Corporate Controller at Inovar Packaging Group’s Dallas Headquarters and has been with the company since August 2024. She enjoys being part of manufacturing, and last year had the opportunity to tour all of Inovar’s plants, seeing firsthand the labels produced and later spotting them on customer products in stores.

One of Kristin’s most memorable experiences was attending the Finance Leadership Conference earlier this year. “It was great to have all the leaders together for a couple of days. We have a fantastic finance team and collectively came up with strong initiatives for the year”.

When it comes to Inovar’s culture, Kristin appreciates that the company cares for its employees and takes pride in the products it produces. Touring the plants, she noticed very positive work environments and says she is happy to be part of the team. Kristin’s approach to problem-solving is thoughtful: she gathers information and considers multiple scenarios, preferring to solve problems appropriately rather than quickly. A challenge that keeps her growing is learning and improving processes, finding ways to streamline operations for efficiency.

Kristin’s first job was working retail in a mall, which helped her break out of her shy shell and become more outgoing. A fun fact about her is that she loves cover bands. If she could switch jobs for a day, she would choose to work in operations, fascinated by the manufacturing process and impressed by how smoothly it runs.

Outside of work, Kristin enjoys camping and visiting wineries. She is a proud mom of three college-age boys, and as a family they enjoy golfing, biking, and planning vacations. Inspired by her mom, Kristin never stops learning and reads at least one book a month on a new topic to stay curious.
