Meet the Team: Venkat Paruchuri, Chief Information Officer at Inovar Packaging Group

Venkat Paruchuri serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Inovar Packaging Group and is based out of the Dallas, Texas headquarters. He has been with Inovar for three years, leading technology initiatives that support the company’s continued growth and operational excellence.

What Venkat enjoys most about working in the packaging and label industry is the direct connection to the products consumers see every day. He appreciates being part of an industry where technology can have a tangible impact, helping improve efficiency, streamline operations, and support customer success in a fast-paced environment.

One of Venkat’s most memorable projects at Inovar has been standardizing and modernizing the company’s IT and ERP systems while supporting the integration of multiple acquisitions. Bringing together different systems, processes, and teams while maintaining day-to-day business operations has been a complex challenge, but one that he has found incredibly rewarding.

Venkat describes Inovar’s culture as collaborative, entrepreneurial, and hands-on. He values the strong sense of ownership throughout the organization and appreciates working alongside people who are committed to helping one another succeed while continuously improving.

His approach to problem-solving begins with understanding the root cause of an issue, bringing together the right people, and balancing immediate needs with long-term sustainability. He believes clear communication and teamwork are just as important as the technical solution itself. One aspect of his role that continues to challenge and help him grow is balancing strategic planning with daily operational demands. The pace and complexity of the business encourage him to keep learning, adapting, and thinking ahead.

Venkat began his career as a Process Control Engineer at Johnson Controls. That experience taught him the importance of hard work, accountability, and continuous learning, lessons that continue to guide him today.

If he could switch jobs with anyone for a day, Venkat would choose to be a professional golfer. He would enjoy experiencing the level of focus, discipline, and pressure required to compete at the highest level of the sport.

A fun fact about Venkat is his passion for travel and sports. One of his most memorable experiences was attending a practice round at the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.

When he’s not working, Venkat enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and relaxing whenever he gets the opportunity. If he could have dinner with any historical figure, he would choose Aryabhata, the ancient mathematician and astronomer known for groundbreaking contributions including the concept of zero, calculations involving pi, and early understandings of Earth’s rotation and orbit.
