However, they were having issues controlling high costs each time the art changed due to tooling expenses, delays due to liner tearing and a high level of stress to meet retail delivery timelines.
THE STRATEGY
Inovar resolved many of these issues by switching their project to digital printing which maintained, even exceeded the high-end design with raised varnish and other embellishments they were accustomed to.
By eliminating the need for plates, high retooling fees were removed, creating dramatic savings. An Inovar technical expert went onsite to evaluate the process and found a solution to eliminate the tearing issue which reduced downtime significantly.
