THE CHALLENGE
This craft brewery was planning a special Oktoberfest event at their facility and wanted to create a special set of attention-grabbing labels specifically for this festival.
The event was in 72 hours and although the artwork was complete, the final size and materials had not yet been determined. To further complicate the situation, the brewery had just purchased a new label applicator and there were open questions about the rewind direction, core and roll outer diameter. And, the label needed to fit their tooling, however, there was not enough time to create a custom die.
THE STRATEGY
With the labeler research done by the sales team, we were able to determine roll size, rewind direction and a list of compatible materials.
Once the material was selected by the client, we presented a list of existing cutting dies that were available for the project. Once that was determined, our prepress department resized the art files to fit the tooling and printing began.
THE RESULTS
The customer received their labels on time for their Oktoberfest festival.
There were no issues with the label application, and we continue to run special labels for them meeting their seven-day turnaround times.
