THE CHALLENGE
By utilizing a combination of design skills and digital printing equipment, Dion was able to help gourmet food company Wozz! Kitchen Creations make some high quality labels for their award winning products.
Wozz! Kitchen Creations was founded by Warrick & Ashley Dowsett back in 2011 and then settled into their current location of Bethlehem, New Hampshire in 2013. Warrick began his career as a private chef on numerous luxury yachts traveling the world. After meeting his wife Ashley, the two married and began the business while living in Australia. After relocating the business to New England, Wozz! Kitchen Creations was creating product from scratch in a commercial facility ideal for their use. Everything including formulation, execution and packaging is still done by hand in small batches for optimal quality and flavor.
THE STRATEGY
Plant-based supplemental nutrition products make up the collection offered today by Vibrant Health.
Among the hand crafted products on their website and available through wholesale are a variety of gourmet condiments including sauces, dressings, chutney’s, finishing vinegars, spreads and desert sauces. At the beginning of the partnership of Dion Label Printing and Wozz! Kitchen Creations, the gourmet food company was looking to upgrade their product labels with new artwork and find a way to merge a designer with a printer. Warrick commented that packaging is a moving target and you need to constantly be refreshing what you do. As a brand changes, the look changes.
Dion Label Printing was able to offer both design and printing services to help create an up to date yet classic look for their labels. The pressure sensitive, sticky back, labels provided are printed digitally on our HP Indigo WS6800 press. A metalized base with a matte finish works well for Wozz! Kitchen Creations to provide a high end look for their twenty-eight count product collection. Warrick confirmed that Dion Label Printing allowed him to focus on the business rather than the struggles they previously experienced with ordering labels.
THE RESULTS
After a few years with their new labels, Wozz! Kitchen Creations says that the labels and packaging is what stops customers in their tracks while the taste keeps them coming back for more.
The company has been recognized for excellence in the Specialty Food Association Sofi Awards for culinary excellence and creativity. Wozz! Kitchen Creations has won each year since 2014 with four awards in 2017 including Outstanding Cooking Sauce, New Product, Condiment and Vinegar.
