Recycling can be complex, but we simplify the process for you by drawing on our sustainability expertise and Association of Plastic Recyclers affiliation. We offer a variety of APR recognized options in our Inovar360™ portfolio to ensure your packaging is recyclable. Here’s how we can help:
- Assess Primary Packaging: We start by understanding your primary packaging container.
- Recommend Materials: We guide you to the right label materials, inks, and adhesives to make your product recyclable with our Inovar360™ portfolio of APR recognized options.
- Support Multiple Materials: We provide solutions for various containers, including PET, Glass, Aluminum, and HDPE.
Make Your Packaging Recyclable
SHRINK SLEEVES
PET Container (Clear, Light Blue & Light Green)
- Recyclable Shrink Sleeve: Utilize “washable” inks with PET or CPET shrink sleeve material. Shrink Sleeve is recycled with the primary container. Benefit is that the sleeve is recycled with the primary containers.
- Floatable Shrink Sleeve: Utilize Shrink Sleeve material that floats and can be discarded (inks stay on the sleeve). This allows the primary container to be recycled. Benefit is that you can use white and clear sleeve materials.
PRESSURE SENSITIVE LABELS
PET Container (Clear, Light Blue & Light Green)
- Our Inovar360™ pressure sensitive labels will separate cleanly from PET material during the recycling process, and our “lock-in” inks will prevent staining of the wash water. This allows for food-grade PET flakes, enabling bottle-to-bottle recycling and less plastic waste in landfills.
ROLL-FED LABELS
PET Container (Clear, Light Blue & Light Green)
- Recyclable Roll-Fed: Utilizing laminated or mono-web BOPP materials with lock in inks to prevent staining of the wash water. The label is removed during the wash process and floats. This allows the label to be discarded, and the primary container recycled.
FLEXIBLE PACKAGING
- Flexible Packaging w/ Pressure Sensitive Reclosure: Utilizing a pressure sensitive reclosure label made from Polyethylene along with a flexible package made from the same material allows the consumer to return this package to the “in store” recycling bin with the consumer’s bags.
- Flexible Packaging: Utilizing mono material construction a Polyethylene based flexible package can be returned to the “in store” recycling bin with the consumer’s grocery bags.
Use Recycled Materials
Post-consumer waste material & liner options
Inovar offers many material options that are made from varying percentages of post-consumer waste (PCW). We also offer PCW materials that come on a rPET liner which contains 30% post-consumer recycled content (PCR).
- Popular label materials include: Polyester, semigloss and dairy grade paper, textured and specialty papers
- Label liner options for common materials including: Clear and white BOPP, semigloss paper, kraft paper
Reduce Your Packaging Footprint

- Thinner Liners: Options for clear, white, and metalized BOPP, and paper labels
- Increased Efficiency: Up to 15% more labels per roll, reducing the frequency of roll changes and overall waste
- Liner Recycling: Select Inovar locations offer a liner recycling initiative through the RafCycle Program, transforming used liners into new materials
