Meet the Team: Dave Gennaro, Technical Manager, Spirits & Print Embellishments at Inovar Packaging Group

Dave Gennaro serves as the Technical Manager for Spirits & Print Embellishments, supporting Inovar facilities across the organization. He joined Inovar 15 months ago and brings a passion for innovation, customer collaboration, and helping bring unique label concepts to life.

What Dave enjoys most about the packaging and label industry is the constant evolution of design trends and production capabilities. He values working directly with customers to understand their challenges and goals, then partnering with them to develop solutions that add value and strengthen relationships.

One of Dave’s most memorable projects at Inovar has been helping advance the construction and conversion of alloy metal printed and embellished labels. It was an opportunity to bring a long-standing vision to life and showcase the creative possibilities available within the label industry.

Dave describes Inovar’s culture as a welcoming team environment that encourages continuous improvement, innovation, and shared success. His approach to problem-solving begins with gathering all available information before determining the best path forward. One challenge that continues to help him grow is managing timelines. While eager to move projects forward, he has learned the importance of balancing urgency with the realities of complex project schedules.

Dave’s work ethic started at a young age through jobs like mowing lawns, shoveling snow, and cleaning pools. His first official job was as a vehicle detailer at a full-service car wash during high school. The experience taught him the value of hard work, attention to detail, and taking pride in a job well done.

If he could switch jobs with anyone for a day, Dave would choose his wife. He would enjoy experiencing firsthand the balance of work, motherhood, and family responsibilities that she manages every day.

A fun fact about Dave is that he enjoys digging for and collecting rocks and gems. On his days off, he likes tackling projects around the house and catching up on movies he has not yet seen.

If he could have dinner with any historical figure, Dave would choose the Apostle Paul. He would welcome the opportunity to learn from one of history’s most influential leaders and communicators.
