A high build of ink or varnish that creates raised printing and an embossed effect. This process is a fantastic way to create a high-end look for your product and make certain features or textual elements pop.

Embossing creates raised areas of a label which could include lettering, graphics, or shapes. To create the effect, special tooling is used to imprint the desired shape into the label. This embellishment is primarily used with paper substrates.

Foil stamping, hot or cold, both begin with the similar goal of adding metallic elements and a premium look to a label. Substrates that are non-metallic such as white and clear film or paper could benefit from adding foil stamping.

Thermochromatic inks are specialized inks that change color in response to changes in temperature and can be ideal for refrigerated products.

Matte varnish subdues glare and reflections. Satin is a balanced between matte and gloss. High gloss varnish produces a wet look.

Soft touch offers a soft and smooth feel.

Die cut labels are made by using a cutting tool of a particular shape and we are experts at creating custom die cut labels. Many of Black Birch Vineyard’s varietals (shown at right) include a unique die cut that forms the shape of a tree when wrapped around the wine bottle.
